Do you often find yourself in the skin care aisle of the drug store, department store, Sephora, Ulta, etc… and finding yourself totally confused? I can see why. So much hype and marketing claims! So many promises made that I KNOW won’t ever be fulfilled!
It’s true that OTC may be less expensive than professional skin care products, but what does that price difference represent, and is it based off of which product is better?
I can’t speak for ALL professional products and ALL “OTC” products, but I can tell you what sets apart the skin care products that I have personally selected to use at my skin studio compared to what you may find OTC.
OTC products may appear cheaper, but understand there is a VALUE in investing in professional products that are tailor recommended toward you. Products recommended by a skin care professional like myself are more likely to provide SO much better results for your skin!!! You may save money on drug store products, but they may not give you the specific result you are looking for….in fact just the opposite in many cases! So therefore aren’t you just WASTING your money??
The products that I believe in are backed by heavy research that went behind making the product. These products that have gone through serious quality testing to ensure that they can maintain the promises they keep on the bottles!! The focus is on results, not mass selling. For example, testing may involve making sure that the molecules in the ingredients are just the right size in order to truly penetrate the skin…this makes a huuuuuge difference!
The product companies that I believe in are always looking at the latest advancements and ingredient technology. They continue to change their formulas, always seeking improvement and researching the effectiveness of their products.
This is opposed to OTC products that never change their formulas, keeping them the same for years….even if the packaging or name on the bottle changes (tricky tricky, don’t be fooled!)
Also, you want a product that is coming from someone with a deep passion for what they’re selling based on their own direct experience helping clients with skin care. They have a pre-existing knowledge and understanding of what works before entering the skin!
I know for a fact that the skin care companies that I believe in maintain the integrity of the ingredients by producing in small batches that have MUCH higher levels of active ingredients and have FAR fewer preservatives and fillers. You’d actually be shocked at the difference!
Bottom line…OTC products often focus primarily on marketing and mass selling. Making money. My products focus on the quality of ingredients going into the product to ensure real results that are healthy, beautiful, and seriously effective!
